Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

We strongly prefer online submission for articles. You can submit to our journal using our online system

Manuscript Preparation:

  1. Language

The manuscript language must be in English (either American or British standard, but not the mixture of both).

  1. Length of manuscript
  • The length of the manuscript should not exceed 15 pages (Times New Roman, 12 Font) including tables, figures, references and appendices (if any). Manuscript containing more than 15 pages will be returned to the author(s) to abridge.
  • Articles should be typed in double-space (including footnotes and references) on one side of the paper only (preferably A4) with 2.5 cm margins.
  • Word Limit: Manuscripts submitted to AESJ should be approximately 6000 words, this includes References. Papers exceeded more than 6000 words may allowed according to the Editors discretion if there is a good explanations are provided in this case, editor strongly requests a cover letter including these explanations.

Authors are urged to write as concisely as possible, but not at the expense of clarity.

  1. Title Page

The title page must include the full title (A concise and informative title), names and affiliations of all authors. The e-mail address, telephone and fax numbers of the corresponding author

Abstract

An abstract of 250 words or less (should not contain undefined abbreviations or references) should be provided.

Keywords

Authors should provide 3 to 6 keywords which can be used for indexing purposes.

Introduction

Comprise a clear description of the goals of the study (without summarizing the work itself) with a brief statement of previous relevant work with references

Materials and Methods

  • This section should describe clearly the materials and methods used to allow the work repetition.
  • Author(s) requested to provide details for new techniques and modifications to well-known methods. And adequate references for known methods is enough.

 Results and Discussion

In this section you can separate the results from discussion into two section or you can keep them in one section (Results and Discussion).  

Conclusions

In this section provides the most important conclusions of the study or research and also gives clear explanation of their importance and relevance avoid writing references in this section.

Acknowledgement

The author should list all the people and organizations (not named as authors) who helped during the research process and the development of the article prior to submission. Acknowledgements should be brief and placed at the end of the manuscript before the references section.

Conflict of Interest: If there is no Conflict of Interest authors should write (the authors declare that they have no conflict of interest).

Scientific names

Write the scientific names of animals, microorganisms and plants with full generic names at the first mention, e.g. Azotobacter vinelandii. Then it possible to abbreviate them in the text, e.g. A. vinelandii.

Chemicals nomenclature

The current systematic IUPAC nomenclature should be used.

Units

 Use SI units in accordance with the recommendations of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

  1. Illustrations

All figures should be included in the main manuscript file in either .tiff or .eps format. For black and white and colour photos 300 dpi is requested Graphs, drawings, etc - 600 dpi minimum Combinations of photos and drawings (black and white and colour) - 500 dpi.

  1. References

The journal flows the APA style in referencing but AESJournal’s style does not include all of its features.

Citations in the text

  • Author(s) should check every reference cited in the text is also exist in the reference list.
  • Please personal communications unpublished work should not be in the reference list.
  • More than one reference from the same author(s) in the same year must be identified by the letters "a", "b", "c", etc., placed after the year of publication.
  • For one reference (Talha 2016). 
  • For two references (Talha and Mohammed 2016).
  • For more than two references (Talha et al. 2016).
  • EndNote Style

Reference example

Reference List: References should be arranged alphabetically.
